Chris and Laura...The Easter Bunny and Mr Corduroy, the tie is lace too. Laura got this dress from Chris Drees' sister. Yeah...she actually wore this for something LOL!

Chris (YES this is the 3rd Chris at the party!!LOL) and Val Wente...The details on these two were GREAT. From Chris' pink earring to her Paris Sport Club shirt...they were classic. She is also wearing his class ring around her neck. Val won for biggest hair!

Kelli and I's one piece jump suits...or unitards as we affectionately called them. This was our post Prom outfit. Very fashionable and comfy but very tough to go to the bathroom in!!!

Saturday was the 2nd Annual Hoover Prom. (Hoover is the street we live on and we have some crazy neighbors who participate as well) We had so much fun at the Goodwill store picking out our outfits and accessories and that was only the beginning! Everyone came over at 7pm and we laughed at each other for an hour solid. We had a wonderful evening...I can't wait for next year.

Afternoon at the Farm

We took the boys to drive dirt bikes and 4wheelers today since the weather was GORGEOUS. They had a blast getting dirty and playing king of the mountain. We packed some snacks and enjoyed the day. Why aren't weekends longer?...I didn't want the day to end.

Trampoline Attempt #2

Griffin got a trampoline for Christmas and it has finally been nice enough to put it up. I haven't seen the boys in 3 days...they have spent every waking moment on it! Chris has it anchored so a tornado could hit and it would still be there!

Flashback...First Attempt at a Trampoline

Here is proof I wasn't making it up.

2 Years ago we had a trampoline and the kids LOVED it. Here is my original account of the situation in April of '08:

It is really windy out today and I get a call at work... Our trampoline flew across/down the street and tumbled all the way over to the house is Kelly Koenke is building across from the Drees'. So, me being the genius that I am, I think, I am going to go check it out and see how screwed up it is. Sounds simple. I get out of the car and proceed to walk through the field to get to the tramp that is in the middle of the entire block. I underestimated how MUDDY it really was. I was sinking five inches to the point that my socks were muddy and my shoes were stuck in the mud and I couldn't get my shoes out. There was no turning back, it was too late. I had to step out of them in my socks!! I pray to God that no one was looking at me, Elodie are you home??!! Needless to say, I was practically on my hands and knees in the MUD and finally got back to the street. (Oh yeah and the trampoline is demolished, but at this point I could give a shit!) But now I am a block away from my house and I have to get back in my car with MUD all over my jeans, I can't even see my shoes, there is 5 inches of mud on them and in them. I am standing in the street with my bare feet trying to get in my car while holding my socks and shoes out the window! I am such an idiot. Why didn't I just leave well enough alone. I hope that frickin' trampoline flies clear to Rush Center. (Although it can't because it is lodged in the mud.) Just a great way to start my weekend off! All over a stupid trampoline! And the fun part is...we will have to shell out the cash for a new damn trampoline!! AHHH!!

We aren't the only ones in the neighborhood with trampoline trouble. I took this a few weeks later down the street. LOL!

SUPER CROC!!

Learning about fossils...this guy was awesome with the kids.

For weeks Griffin has been asking to go to the Super Croc exhibit at the Sternberg Museum so I finally relented yesterday and took him. The Croc really is SUPER with a length of a whopping 40 feet and weight of 10 tons! We spent 2 hours going through the whole museum...we always find things we have never seen before. The T-Rex still freaks Griff out when it turns its head and growls at him. If you have never been...you need to check it out!

Easter Egg Hunt at the Club...Gavin is THRILLED I am making him participate, and even more thrilled I am taking his picture!
Giana wasn't feeling too great on Easter. She has some teeth all trying to pop through at once. Poor thing was miserable! Gavin seemed to be the ONLY one she wanted. They cuddled all afternoon. He is quite the babysitter! (If only he could change diapers!)

4A Fieldtrip

This is Mrs. Chris Dinkel with her class...she took me to the Cosmosphere when I was in 4th grade too!! She didn't want me telling anyone that, ha!

Here is Gavin and our neighbor Taylor...they are lining up shortest to tallest. You guessed it...they are in the front of the line. Again, SO embarrassed!

On Wednesday I accompanied Gavin's 4th grade class to Hutchinson to the Cosmosphere. There were 60 kids and they were remarkably well behaved! We got to check out the museum, Planetarium, Goddard's Lab and watch Sea Monsters IMAX movie. Despite the early 7am departure, we had a wonderful time. They are now out of school until next Tuesday...didn't we just get back from Spring Break?!
