Lucky #11

Tomorrow is Chris and I's 11th Anniversary! WOW...time flies! Looking forward to a limo ride to the Boondocks in McCracken to celebrate. Everyone says the food is great so we are going to see for ourselves.

PS~I am probably in trouble with Grandma for not posting very often!! We haven't been up to too much! Griffin had his last day of school and Gavin's is tomorrow. They are so excited. The pool is open in 9 days, we are counting down!

Happy 1st Birthday Giana!

It was my niece's first birthday party on Saturday and she was adorable. Jackie bought her the CUTEST birthday hat and she did NOT like it at all!! Poor baby screamed until we took it off! She dove right into her cake after the hat was removed...yummm! She wouldn't go to anyone except Gavin once again. They are so cute together, she just lets him carry her around.

Saturday concluded spring flag football for Gavin and what a season he had!! I lost track of how many touchdowns, interceptions and safeties he had...but it was quite a few. I think he had 24 points just on Saturday?! He never loses the urge to tackle people instead of grabbing there flag so its a good thing tackle football is right around the corner.

Race for Education Winner!!

Holy Family Elementary does a fundraiser every year called Race for Education. You basically run as many laps as you can in an hour and get donors to sponsor you per lap. Griffin ran the most laps in his preschool...22!! I was jogging behind him every lap while he shouted "OLD LADY" at me. Way to Go Griffin!

Romabona?

Grandpa Earl and Aunt Peggy are doing some work in Hays so they are staying with Mom and Dad this week. Grandma Vada made us some Romabona (I have no idea how to spell it?!) soup at my request since I haven't mastered the art of cooking just yet. It was YUMMY! Even though they were dead tired Grandpa got home and attempted to finish his crossword puzzle...but fell asleep. Griffin had the giggles because he was still holding on to the paper, snoring away!

Post race breakfast

My friend Karol got a bright idea to sign us all up for a 5k run for the Make a Wish Foundation. I haven't run in...well, I have never really got into running. I am a firm believer that unless you are being chased, you shouldn't run?! The avid runners Karol and Jessica kicked butt finishing in around 25 minutes? and Val, Rachel and I brought up the rear finishing in 35 minutes. We ran about a mile and a half when I heard Rachel say "I think I am gonna walk a minute" and I have never been so happy in my whole life!! Val and I quickly slowed up and caught our breath. Instead of stretching in the morning...I got up early, found Gavin's old ipod and put some good running music on it, mostly football pregame music. I crossed the finish line to the KSU fight song! Ha! I hope I can walk tomorrow.

This is Griffin and his 71 preschool classmates all together! What patience Mrs. Bieker has! Normally they are split into 4 seperate classes but they all got together for a little fun...and a snack. Can't believe only a few more weeks of school!
