SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vanity went out the window on Sunday, we were dying in the 110+ degree heat!! Icy Cold Towels helped ease the pain. This is Sister Martini (Heather) and Sister Margarita (Me)My sister in law Jackie (in yellow) played in her first tourney, yeah!

We had our Ladies Invitational this weekend. We started off on Wednesday for Ladies Night and continued to golf through Sunday. It was miserabley HOT. Mom and I played well under the circumstances but didn't end up in the money;-( but we won the best two raffle prizes!! Mom got a golf bag and I got a limo trip to the Long Branch Saloon for 4 people!

Friday night after a fun golf tourney, the party continued into the night! In true Stoecklein fashion, lots of cards were played. Pinochole, Pitch, Uno, Books and Runs, Texas Hold 'Em, Etc. The "sweet" game of poker ended the night with lots of laughs. My favorite quote from the night..."I did not drive 90 miles to just go to bed early!" ~Eldon Stoecklein (My aunt Joyce sitting beside him laughing since she came from North Carolina!)

Happy 60th Wedding Anniversary Grandpa & Grandma!

WOW! 60 years of marriage! So happy we are all getting together for such a happy occasion. I can't wait to see everyone this weekend! It's party time! I hope Salina is ready for the Stoecklein's!

Ice Cream Truck!

We have an ice cream truck in Hays this summer, The Brain Freeze!!! It has been down our block a few times and it is just as I remember...kids screaming and chasing it down the street. Summer is sweet!

Can it get any hotter?

I do NOT want to wish away the summer...but I would love for the temperature to be under 100 so we can at least go outside without frying. The only activity we enjoyed this weekend was sitting in the baby end of the CC pool with only our heads sticking out of the water...with margaritas in our hands.
