Turkey Day Fun!

Gav and Griff with the wishbone. Gav won...as most older siblings do. I think there was some cheating involved as there was in a similar wishbone fight last weekend. (Please see www.markandrenaewilley.blogspot.com "Make A Wish" post!!)
Chris with his turkey! This was the second year he was in charge and it was great!!

Grandma Vada causing trouble!

The Stoecklein clan in a heated 'golf' game. (Peggy you were the REAL winner scoring the most points, that is the way I keep score in real golf too!)
We went to the Schumacher's in the morning and then went to Ness in the afternoon. As usual, a crazy card game broke out. It got a little heated in which a lot of bad words were said and Chris somehow got renamed 'Jake'?! Not sure how that happened but JAKE ended up winning after we all made fun of his game technique. Since Chris and I didn't get to eat lunch with the Stoecklein's...Grandma Vada let us be the first ones in line so I was one of the lucky ones that got chicken and noodles as well as stuffing. Thanks Grandma! Although MANY were missing from that side of the family...it is always so much fun to get together. I am looking forward to seeing more of you at Christmas. (Hint Hint...Get your butts to Ness on the 26th!)

Catching Up...

It has been weeks since I have posted and I am going to be in trouble from Grandma Vada so here is a recap of the last few weeks.
The end of the KSU football season has came and went. We enjoyed the last home game with a weekend in Manhattan that included a basketball game on Friday night. It is always bitter sweet to see it end. The RV trips, sleeping 9 in something that should only hold 5, getting sauced in the parking lot before 10am, watching the boys play ball for 8 hours straight, eating continuously all day...those are all things that I miss. It will be nice to have some weekends relaxing at home though!
We celebrated Chris' 32nd birthday with friends and family on Friday the 20th. There were a 'few' drinks served, lots of songs sung, and a little dancing too. It made for a headache and a mess the next morning but never a dull moment around our house!
We celebrated Thanksgiving last weekend with the Willey's and Grandma Sibyl. Mark and Renae will be at the Cowboys game on Thursday (PLEASE bring me home Terrance Newman #41 for my Christmas present!!) so we had to start the feast a few days early. We had so much fun making mac and cheese (a Witthuhn Thanksgiving tradition) with my Grandma again with a little help from Griffin and Hannah. On Sunday we got out all of Mom's Christmas decorations...and she has A LOT?! (Who is going to put all that stuff away!?) So happy that Mom is finally feeling like herself again. We have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season!

A Wildcat Weekend

Putting Willie on the ROOF! Everyone was driving by yelling "Love your Big Willie!" and no Chris, they weren't talking to you!
Friday night Pre-tailgate~with the Carson's, Jewell's, Witthuhn's, and Palmgren's

Good Morning!! Our 7:30am toast with Mimosas.

Saturday Morning Haircut~Mohawks for the boys...with a little purple added.

The WHOLE family...doesn't get any better than this!
Oh yeah it does get better than this...VICTORY!! This is Renae and I with the boys...and our new BFF the tuba player? Some random KSU fan who we bonded with during the game!
We had a blast this weekend hanging with old and new friends at the Bill. We started it off Friday night and continued after the game Saturday night. We had lots of visitors but too many pics to post today. Can't wait to do it all over next weekend!

We're #......2?!

Go get 'em boys!!
Post Game Photo...Not too many smiles.
Awarding of plaques.
The Outlaws played in the Western Kansas Football League Championship game today. Gavin was quite nervous and lost his breakfast before kick-off around the 10 yard line! And it didn't get any better after that...yikes. We never got it together and got shut out for the first time of the season. We had a tailgate party after the game with food cooked by my hubby the chef. That cheered us all up! Despite the loss, we had a great and successful season going 6-2. I look forward to a couple of weeks without running G to practice three nights a week!! Yeah.

Trick or Treat!

Heading to Grandma Clara's

We had such a fun Halloween. After stops at Grandma Sibyls, Papa Shorty and Grandma Millies, Papa Jerry and Grandma Clara's, Papa Tom and Grandma Debbie's, we ended up at Grandma Jan and Papa Van's just in time for the KSU football game. We helped hand out candy while enjoying the game. We ended the evening celebrating with our neighbors! The kids (and adults) had a great time.
