Gavin's Trip to Denver

Mountains!
LeBron dancing before game
Pictures Taken By Gavin
The powder puff
Gavin got to go to Denver with his grandparents Tom and Deb this weekend for a Denver Nuggets/Cleavland Cavaliers game. Even though he was in Denver, he wore a LeBron jersey...and he was glad he didn't get beat up. The game was really exciting (not that I would know, the game started at 9:30pm...I only made it to half time before I fell asleep!) with the Nuggets ending up with a last second shot to win. The performers at halftime were from America's Got Talent and he said they were amazing. Meanwhile back in Hays, I convinced Griffin to go to The Princess and the Frog with me. It was a GREAT movie and there was enough 'boy' stuff in there to keep Griffin from thinking he went to a girl movie. LOL! Griffin enjoyed his couple of days as an only child but started to ask when Gavs was coming back this afternoon! Deep down he missed being constantly harassed!?

Harlem Globetrotters

In Awe!
Dancing! So fun!
Autographs from everyoneLast Monday the Harlem Globetrotters came to town. The boys loved all the bball skills as well as the humor. They were looking forward to seeing Big Easy and Flight Time from The Amazing Race but they weren't playing that night. They stayed for autographs which Griffin thought was awesome.

Happy Birthday Hannah!

Happy 9th birthday to Hannah! Hope you are having so much fun at dance convention...see you on Tuesday!

Since K-State didn't make it to a bowl this year, we did a bowl pick game to make things more interesting. It came down to the wire with Texas and Alabama with Mom ending up victorious! I spent most of the early games in last but pulled it out in the end. Way to go Hannah in beating your brother and your Dad;-)

Broncos v Chiefs

Chris, his Dad and some friends went to the Bronco/Chiefs game yesterday. I stayed at home thinking it wasn't going to be much of a game but boy was I mistaken!! Who would have guessed the Chiefs would put on a show?! KC undefeated in 2010, LOL!

Christmas Round 6...FINALLY DONE!!!

Tractor from Grandma Sibyl
Grandma with her 8 great grandchildren
A cookbook from Kathy with one of Grandma's famous recipies in it!
LAST Chrismas celebration was my Dad's side of the family on Sunday the 27th. Grandma Sibyl was excited to see all of the great grandkids. We had a wonderful meal and a very purple gift exchange. I guess thats what happens when you get so many wildcats in one house!

Christmas Round 5

Sleepy on the way to Ness City
Kitchen is a little crowded at Grandma Vada's with almost 50 people trying to eat!
She has a stocking for all of us...LOVE it! This is just the grandkids and great grandkids.
Round 5 brought us to Ness City to visit my Mom's side of the family. Needless to say, the house is crowded when we all get together. We played some cards and had a soup pot luck with all my favorites. We did a money exchange this year instead of a gift exchange...everyone split $20 into 4 envelopes, each having at least $1 in it. Everyone puts their 4 envelopes in a bag then you draw 4 random envelopes and gets to keep whatever is in them. Chris was the big loser getting only $10...and I got $32!!!! It was a lot of fun.

Christmas Round 4

Looking angelic?!
Cheese!
So excited about his tool bench
Me trying to trick Marcus into thinking I got him Finding Nemo instead of a Wii game...he does look a little shocked, right? I think he believed me for a minute.
Hannah and Griffin hanging out in Griffy's new tent.
Round 4 brought us to my parents'. We had been over at their house for 3 days with all the presents under the tree so the suspense was killing us all. 'Santa' had dropped a 46" TV off at our house a day earlier so the suspense was lessened for me! The most used gift was a marshmallow gun that Griffin never got to shoot because the adults were hogging it. Fun was had by all!!
