Disneyworld

Day 1 of our trip was spent at Disneyworld! It was HOT, but we didn't end up standing in too many long lines which made the day more pleasant. Griffin got to see BUZZ and that was the only character that was a MUST see so I was thankful we ran into him. We did have 15 minutes of sheer PANIC when Gavin got lost. I was hysterical, as was everyone else but it didn't take long to find him. He knew to find a Disney employee and tell them his name and that he is lost. I too contacted a staff member and we were reunited in minutes. They were so nice and gave him a pin and let us cut in line at Splash Mountain (which is where he was heading when he got lost). Other than that 15 minutes...it was a wonderful day!

Are we there yet?

I know I have been terrible about keeping up this month so I have some catching up to do. Here is the beginning of our trip to Orlando. We had some delays due to weather but thank goodness we didn't have to wait too long. More trip pics to come...

My Michael Jackson collection...poster, shirt, shoelaces, glove, socks, cards, book, stickers and last but not least never been opened Thriller viewmaster cards!!
I was devastated when I found out my childhood idol Michael Jackson passed away. Say what you will about his strange life...he was a music and dance legend. I performed to so many of his songs in my many years of dance, but that was only the half of it. I spent many hours at home listening to his music and watching his videos. There was a rumor that on his "Bad" music video it flashes Michael's phone number and I watched it over and over to try to find it...unsuccessfully! My sister and I were really looking forward to seeing his comeback...we would have been first in line. Rest in Peace, MJ.

Clear for Take-Off...

The shuttle Endeavour is set to blast off on Saturday, June 13th and we will get to witness it!Marcus really wanted to go to NASA while we were in Florida next week and while researching a good day to go we found out about it. We will be having 'Breakfast with Astronauts' (not the ones going to space, of course) in the morning and then will get to see the shuttle launch. We are hoping for good weather because otherwise, we are out of luck!

Way to Go Hays Braves!

Gavin played in a baseball tourney this weekend in Hays. It was beautiful weather so we didn't mind sitting at the ball fields for two days. They played six games and took 2nd!! Not bad for a team full of 8 and 9 year olds playing in a 10 year old league.
