This IS it!

I just got back from the Michael Jackson movie and it was amazing. I guess through all the media reports they made MJ out to be practically in a coma in the years before his death. This movie proves that was not the case. I didn't want it to end! All the songs brought back so many memories! I remember Michelle so scared of Thriller and Chad dancing to "The Way You Make Me Feel" when we were hanging out at the Stoeckleins, as well as many dances choreographed to his music. It was well worth going...I loved it!

SHCC Halloween Party

My Kings~The King of Rock'n'Roll and The King of Pop
Gavin dancing away!
Elvis taking a break with Princess Grace.
Last night was the annual Country Club Halloween Party and a good time was had by all. We had a rough start because Elvis was taking a nap and didn't want to be woke up. He warmed up to the idea once he saw his friends dancing and having fun. Gavin wore my original glitter glove and socks to perfect his Michael Jackson look. I will have better pictures later in the week when Elvis is more cooperative in his costume!!

Championship Bound Outlaws!!

Getting to play on the turf at FHSU!
Getting pumped up before the game.
Even Giana made it to the game...brrrrrrr!!
Gavin played in the Western Kansas League Tourney this weekend at Lewis Field in Hays. He was so excited to play on the turf but more importantly to have music played before the games and during timeouts. The Outlaws beat Great Bend on Saturday and Smoky Valley on Sunday to advance to the championship game that will be played on Sunday November 1st at 1pm versus McPherson. Some of the highlights of the game were Gavin getting to motivate the team before the game by getting in the middle of the jumping huddle screaming "Who are we?" OUTLAWS!! " Who is going to win?" OUTLAWS!!, pumping up the crowd by waiving his arms up and down until we all screamed and cheered, watching him dance to the music with his friend Peyton during timeouts and after Gavin batted down a pass late in the 4th quarter he treated us to a nice foot stomping-fist pumping celebration (which I called a 'dance' but he said NO it was a celebratory move). Gavin has clearly learned a thing or two sitting on the front row of the KSU games his whole life! He played great and had such a fun weekend of football!

FUNNY!!!

The sign...no glitter but still impressive!
Putting it up where Ron can clearly see it!
Oh yeah...he definately sees it!
I found this while surfung the net today...some dirtybirds were in Virginia where Prince now coaches and wanted make sure they knew how much they missed him. Some might find this offensive but I find it hilarious. The Sunflower Showdown is 2 weeks away...I hope Bill Snyder can bring us back to our winning ways!

Pumpkin Wars

Imagine my HORROR when I walked into my office and found THIS horrible pumpkin sitting in the lobby. I can see it from my desk so it is always staring at me. Trick or Treat? This is definitely a trick!?
I had to do something so yesterday on my day off I made a pumpkin of my own. It sits on my desk and blocks the view of that other pumpkin! In true Dana fashion it is purple and glittery!

Continuing the Tradition...

Good Job, Amy!
At this point, Griffin was still listening to us.
Look at the concentration!
Brotherly Love!!
In keeping with our holiday tradition we made a Halloween Haunted House with Amy. BUT we made some changes this time...we let Gavin and Griffin actually help. Usually we like to keep a little more control but this time they just took over! It ended up looking great and Griffin only ate a bag of frosting before it was all over?!

What happened to the Wildcats?!

Get your motor runnin'!
Our favorite camera guy who puts us on the jumbotron every game!

What a fun night in Manhattan on Saturday! I was wondering what year it was...did I get in a time machine that took us back to 1998 when KSU football was dominant!? We had so much fun watching the players have fun for a change...coming back to the sideline smiling, cheering and dancing! Wahoo! Let's put up 62 on the Buffs on Saturday!! (Hey, a girl can dream!)

Happy Birthday Grandma Sibyl!

Grandma Sibyl turns 83 today. She has been living at Cedar View assisted living in Hays since the summer and it has been nice having her close by so we can visit more. My Dad and I went to eat lunch with her today and everyone sang Happy Birthday and she even got to blow out the candles on her cake. She got to pick the menu so we had wieners and sour kraut! (Which I hate but smiled and ate happily!) One of the ladies kept saying "Have you ever seen wieners this BIG before??!!" Dad and I had a good laugh.

If you look carefully...Gavin is doing his serving duties.

SOOO cute!!
What Angels!!
Saturday was my cousin Chad's wedding and Griffin was the ring bearer. He and Ava were quite the pair!! I was proud that they got down the isle with no trouble...then they both immediately fell asleep and slept for the entire Mass. The ceremony was beautiful and Gavin did a great job of helping out Fr. Mike. Congrats Chad and Kim!!
