The Best Homecoming!

Griffin was waiting for us when we got back from San Francisco! How cute is that! A HUGE thank you to my parents for watching the boys for us!

Play Ball!

Can't beat stadium food!

My sister in law Jackie trying to smile even though she is squished against stinky strangers.
The game was a blast...perfect weather and a Giants win! It was neat to see the boats along the bay waiting on home run balls. There were some home runs but none that made it to the water. Getting home from the game wasn't as much fun. Yikes...public transportation is not for me.

Napa Valley

Chan feeling the grapes
Tom~the official purse holder!
We spent the afternoon in Napa Valley, had the BEST lunch and then off to the winery. We went to the Beringer vineyards and tasted some yummy wine. Fun had by all!

Alcatraz

We went to Alcatraz Monday...it was creepy and beautiful all at the same time. For a history buff like me, I really enjoyed hearing all the stories of things that happened there. Most of the prisoners were shipped here from Leavenworth. For some reason I think staring at the beautiful bay and San Francisco would be more painful than staring at the boring plains of Kansas? It would make me want to escape too!

LOL's from San Fran

We HAD to ride the trolley!
It's like they knew he was coming...

NOBODY speaks English in this entire town?! It's really bothering poor Chris!
This pic is self explanatory...those of you who are like me-you will get it right away!
The boys will enjoy this GIANT claw machine...To Gav and Griff~ this guy NEVER got anything out of here. Even the giant ones are rip offs!

San Francisco Day 2

By the Pacific Ocean...too cold to put my toes in the water;-(
Where "Full House" was filmed!! This was on my list of things I couldn't miss while in San Fran..."You got it, Dude!" DJ Tanner was no where to be found.
Chinatown aka Stinky Town lol
Sushi anyone?

Happy 13th Birthday Marcus!

That's right...my favorite nephew in the whole world is a teenager. I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday I was driving from Manhattan to Saint Francis to visit him as a baby. He will always be my "Marcoosy"!! Love ya Marcus...Hope you have a wonderful day.

First Day of School

This is the "Mom, I can't believe you are making me do this" pose.
YAWN...Gavin hasn't been up before 10am all summer!
Gimme 5! A 5 Year Old and 5th Grader
Gavin in Mrs. Rohr's class...front row directly across from the teacher! A little worried since 2 of his good friends Jace and Cole are right next to him, maybe that is why they are sitting next to the teacher? Gavin was excited to go this morning...but only because that meant he can wear his new shoes! LOL He got the OchoCinco Zig Techs? and was so pumped to wear them!

A Sad Night...

Yesterday we checked out football equipment, took the dreaded trip to Wal-Mart for school supplies and ordered school uniforms ;-( I can't believe it is already that time of year. I have been avoiding thinking about it but it is here...like it or not. I think I am more sad about it than the kids! I do not want the pool to close! The only bright spot in all this is football season is fast approaching, once I get to RV 54 in the parking lot of Bill Snyder Family Stadium my tears will quickly dry up! I am hoping for some 90 degree days to finish out the summer so we can at least get out and enjoy it.

Saturday Night Golf Party

Me and My Partner
My Girls!
The Wednesday Night Ladies
A True Inspiration...This is Mary Gunter who is 83. She is dancing to "Play that Funky Music White Boy" after playing 18 holes of golf earlier in the day. All the ladies that wanted to leave early couldn't possibly leave before Mary! Her and her partner ended up winning their flight! What a trooper!
The funniest night of the year...our golf girls party. No boys allowed and we have a blast...line dancing, karaoke, polka, etc. Everyone survived the night and made it back for golf the next morning by 8am...a miracle!
