Slumber Party

Midnight Snack...
SNOW!!!!

Kaden, Marcus and Hannah spent the night on Thursday. The boys had the giggles late in the evening thanks to Chris. When we got up there was snow on the ground and the kids just couldn't resist a snowball fight.

Turkey Time!

We had Thanksgiving at my Brother-in-law's house on Thursday and Chris volunteered to make the turkey. (I volunteered for safer items like a veggie tray and rolls!) I was REALLY nervous since he has never conquered a turkey before. It turned out awesome and we ate like pigs. After Chan and Jackie's we headed to Ness City to celebrate with the Stoecklein's and Friday we went to Bazine to the Witthuhn side. Needless to say...we ate a lot!!

Happy Thanksgiving?

I finally got the tree up and decorated yesterday! Renae and I went nuts the day after Christmas last year buying everything we could get our hands on. I didn't know how much I bought until I got it all out this weekend...it didn't all fit on one tree! The other trees will go up eventually...the boys get to pick out a theme every year and decorate it how they want it. The last two years Gavin has had a Nascar Jimmie Johnson tree, and Griffin had a Winnie the Pooh tree with A LOT of encouraging from his mother. I doubt I have that much pull this year...we shall see! Chris got our lights up on the roof without a near death experience this year, I think it helped it wasn't snowing, and we had a ladder that actually reached the roof. Lessons Learned.

Back to the Future?

No comment until more info tomorrow...These are pics from 2005...nice hair??!! Was it raining?

How many more days until next year?

Here are our pics from the last KSU game of the season and Prince's last game as head coach. The weather did not stop us from partying it up...we also had a little fun with the eye-black! Renae and I's are a tribute to Coach Prince, "Bold and Daring" and "Scary Smart". These terms were both used to describe him so it was only fitting! Senior Day always means tears every year for someone who cares too much about a football team...but it's a little more than that. It means loading up 10 people and 'everything but the kitchen sink' in an RV and spending 48 hours in a parking lot laughing out loud (with a little bit of yelling at the 4 kids who are such close proximity of each other that the inevitable usually happens) drinking and eating waiting on the other 45,000 people to show up, wondering what the heck took them so long! It was a blast! Only 280 days until next year!!

Change...

There have been some major changes going on this fall! My father sold his manufactured housing dealerships to a big chain called Clayton Homes in August but it didn't become real until last week when the sign went up. After 7 years of daycare, I quit to help my parents out doing accounting work for their 2 manufactured housing dealerships and their 2 salons in Kansas City. I did that for a year before deciding to stay on and work for the new corporation, which is both good and bad. I have a lot less responsibility and a lot less to do, but they let me keep great hours and have wonderful benefits! I work with the same people minus my Dad, which is both good and bad!! He used to give me a lot to do always having nice sized piles on my desk, and the phone rang constantly...but it was kind of nice having him around. It has taken some getting used to.

Griffin and I's TV Debut

I watched the KSU vs Nebraska game replay last night and saw THIS! Yikes! It was me jumping up and down after a touchdown. My mouth open this big the entire time. You could do a dental exam just from this still shot of me, whoa. Thank goodness there was no audio. I love how Griff is totally unaffected by it all...just chillin' with his "chocky milk" not even caring why his mom is screaming and jumping up and down hysterically. I love the look on the Nebraska guy's face, like 'great, there are 45,000 people here and I have to sit next to her.'

Happy 31st Chris!!!

Happy Birthday Chris! You don't look a day older...still showing off your muscles and driving around in your Fort Hays Auto Sales cars! Love ya!

Angelic Moments...

This was one of those brief moments that don't happen very often...no one is hitting, screaming, yelling, etc. It is a miracle. Brotherly love at last.

Tuttle Puddle Fun...

We spent the weekend in Manhattan this weekend going to the football and basketball games. We stayed at Tuttle Creek in the RV and had so much fun. The game on Saturday was freezing...I have no pictures since in my five layers of clothes there was just no room for a camera. We did make signs that, again, did not inspire the team. Renae and I stayed until the end, even singing the alma mater with the team before heading back to the warmth of the RV. We stayed mostly to annoy the Nebraska people next to us so they couldn't enjoy any part of their victory. After freezing all day Saturday...we woke up to a beautiful Sunday morning. They have a great park at the lake and on our way we literally stumbled on a huge waist deep pile of leaves. We couldn't get the kids out of there. We played football until we lost it in the leaves..talk about a needle in the haystack!

Posh has nothin' on me!!

Here is a picture of the famous Beckham family wandering through the San Diego Zoo yesterday with their son Cruz in his Zookeeper outfit.
Here is a picture of Griffin in June of 2006 in his zookeeper outfit! He is totally setting trends. He is much cuter than Cruz Beckham...by far. I can't believe how Griffy has grown. We definitely need to go on another vacation soon. now that he will have memories of the trip.

Happy Birthday Deb!

We celebrated last night by breaking in her new margarita machine. Chan the bartender was mixing up all kinds of concoctions, including sno-cones for the kids (Griffin's made the picture). Chris made shrimp and fillets which were wonderful!! Happy Birthday Deb!

Happy Birthday Jill!!

Oh to be 29 again...I know you are going to mad about the picture, but there were worse photos I could have chose after 25 years of friendship! We were having a great time. I hope you have a happy birthday!!

Too Funny!

On Friday night a bunch of us went to see Madagascar 2 and it didn't fail to disappoint! There is a hippo named Moto-Moto in this movie who absolutely makes it worth the money. We laughed all evening reciting lines from the movie.

Dream Car

We pulled up to Wal-Mart and found Griffin's Dream Car!! He loves Kyle Bush #18 in Nascar mostly because of his sponsor, M&M's. He can't get enough candy so this suits him perfectly. I couldn't resist getting a picture.

A Little Sad...

Coach Prince has resigned. I am a little sad since his family has been so good to our family. This is the only "Coach" Griffy knows. Griff loves to do his imitations of him and even did them for Coach. It was too cute. I wish him and his family the best!

Spa-tacular

Notice how the flash censors this photo perfectly...nice camera work Kelli!

Here are some pics from Kelli and I's spa trip the weekend before last. We called Rock Haven Friday night at 5:45pm, just on whim to see if they had openings on Saturday...and they just had two cancellations! It was meant to be and we jumped at the chance for a little R & R away from the boys. Rock Haven NEVER fails to disappoint...the jacuzzi with snacks, champagne, to the steam shower, to the massage...I can't get enough!!

Happy Halloween!

Here are some shots from Halloween. Grandma Debbie made us a great meal and then we made a few stops at Great-Grandpa and Grandma Inman's and Schumacher's before we ended up at Grandma Jan's to help her hand out candy. Gavin ended up as a KSU basketball player (last minute decision since he didn't think he was going to be anything) and Griff was Spiderman. As you can see, Griffin ended up too tired to even get out of his costume before falling asleep.
