Sunset Zoo

Look at the BABY?! Sooooo cute!

We found the real meaning of "shake your tail feather!" When you got close to him...he shook his feathers and it sounded like a rattle snake. It was freaky!

Penny Smasher for our collection
Renae, Hannah, Griffin and I had a couple of hours to kill when we picked up Gavin from basketball camp so we went to the Manhattan Zoo. I hadn't been there since our family moved from there in 1983! Renae goes every year with her class so she made a wonderful tour guide. We got to hear her SAD story (AGAIN) of how she got bit by an otter at the zoo when she was little. lol! The scene of the crime below:
Notice she is keeping her hands out of the cage this time! The weather and the zoo were beautiful. It was the perfect size for Griff...he walked the whole way without asking to be carried, yeah!

We were then off to Aggieville for some lunch at So Long Saloon, yummy!

Glad you enjoyed the zoo but it just isn't quite the same without Brownie the Bear. :( I am sure Nae told you the sad sad tale of his departure from earth after our school field trip last year. Looks like Gavin had a blast at camp! Take care
